Roots & Realness

Meltt was conceived in early 2024 by our group of friends and partners. We wanted to take our passion for food (especially cheesesteaks) and begin a new adventure to provide the city we love with an exciting alternative to copycat smash burgers and same-old chicken shops.

Our hope was that everyone would have the opportunity to experience the sort of flavour and quality of food that we wanted for ourselves–and that we knew we could create for others. Food that when someone asks you how it is, you can only close your eyes and smile–and then laugh–because it’s just that great. 

A friend of ours once said:

“Love for others what you love for yourself!” For us, that is great food and good company, and we’re not ashamed to say it. Good food nourishes the body; great food nourishes the body and the soul. It lifts you. It brings joy, happiness and contentment. This is what we want for everyone, and Meltt is us doing our part to make that happen.

Grass-fed Angus beef steak

It’s no secret that Angus beef is almost exclusively the first choice of chefs and cooks the world over–and there are plenty of good reasons! Our beef-based dishes are all made with premium quality cuts of grass-fed Angus beef from one of Leicester’s top butchers, to deliver all the flavour and quality you would expect from people who love food as much as we do!

We Partner With A Local Bakery

All our sourdough breads and buttermilk rolls come from a local artisan baker just across the way. They share our commitment and overarching mission to get great food to more people, and none of our dishes would be the same without them. We receive deliveries of fresh bread daily–and you can really feel it in every bite!

We’re HMC-Certified

Customers who follow the Islamic faith can enjoy everything on our menu, safe in the knowledge that all processes and practices relating to their food – from farm to fork (or fingers) – are undertaken in accordance with the principles of halal.
